Over the past year, we have worked tirelessly with our team of skilled attorneys who are passionate about delivering exceptional legal services. Our team has the experience and knowledge to handle a wide range of legal matters, from complex business disputes to FINRA arbitration cases, and we are committed to providing personalized attention and support to each and every client.
We are proud to have achieved numerous successes over the past year. We attribute our success to our unwavering commitment to our clients’ needs and our tireless pursuit of justice on their behalf. Check out some of our achievements over the last year:
Trial and Settlement Successes
- In LSC’s first trial, Richard and the LSC team obtained a complete victory through a judgment for their client (the plaintiff) in excess of $1 million, while also obtaining a judgment in favor of LSC’s client on the defendant’s counterclaim which sought alleged damages in excess of $4 million.
- Robert and the LSC team next took to trial a long and hard fought partnership dispute in which their client was being sued for more than $20 million. After presenting their client for his testimony and cross-examining his opponents, the case settled with LSC’s client not having to pay anything.
- In a hotly contested, high stakes trial where the defendant was seeking tens of millions of dollars in alleged damages, the LSC attorneys, Richard and Robert, were able to obtain a very favorable financial settlement for their client just two days into the trial – a settlement in which less than 1% of the alleged damages were paid by LSC’s client to the opposing party.
- On the eve of trial in a case where LSC’s client was being sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars in alleged damages, Richard and the LSC team obtained an extremely favorable settlement on behalf of their client – a settlement in which the opposing party essentially “threw in the towel” and accepted less than 10% of his alleged damages.
FINRA Arbitration Success
- Larry and the LSC team ended the year on a high-note! Larry secured a $500,000 award in a FINRA Arbitration case. This case resulted in his client receiving an expungement for a defamatory mark left on their Form U-5 disclosure. The client was deemed to have been wrongfully terminated and was awarded half a million dollars.
- Larry and the LSC team also obtained a $150,000 settlement on behalf of investors who alleged their financial advisor misappropriated assets in their accounts through a series of forgeries and misrepresentations.
- Financial Advisor Magazine published an unprecedented three-part series based on LSC’s work on behalf of financial advisors who are victimized by false and defamatory disclosures on their Forms U-5 that have a devastating impact on their careers.
Motion Practice Success
- Robert and the LSC team secured a summary judgment on behalf of their client in a partnership dispute involving the assignment of a membership interest, and the death of a member.
- During the past year, the LSC team quickly jumped into action to defeat numerous motions for temporary restraining orders in complex commercial litigation matters.
- Robert and the LSC team secured a dismissal with prejudice of claims for breach of fiduciary duty and fraud against their client in a fight between former partners.
